dirty harry is an unashamedly DIY lofi synth based on the samples of my two homemade, lofi noisemakers, the Atari Punk Console and the BugBrand WOM

dirty harry offers 20 unique waveforms in all their mono/monophonic glory. For extra grit the oscillators can be sync’d or ring modulated. Fidelity can be lowered further still with reduction in sample quality, distortion and a unique ‘bad contact’ emulation. 2 tempo sync LFOs allow modulation of filter, pitch and contact, with one LFO modulating the depth and frequency of the other. There are envelopes for volume, pitch and filter, with different contours and pitch options. Throw in an arpeggiator, pitch drift and portamento and you can see that whilst it may be lofi in sound, it doesn’t lack for sound design feaures

The update to v1.1 eliminates any problems of multiple instances on multi-core CPUs and also adds new features, with more dirt types, more lofi options, arp octave range and additional presets.

The demos below are 100% dirty harry, with no effects or processing. They cover different sounds and styles, but I still recommend the demo version to fully test the sound and function on your host

dirty harry v1.1 was updated using the latest version of SynthEdit, SE 1.1
Plug-ins developed with this version of SynthEdit have no problems at all with multiple instances on multi-core processors. This problem is only related to plugins developed with SE 1.0



dirty harry has been tested and works in Cubase 4.5.2, Sonar 8.5 LE, Ableton Live Lite 8.1.3, FL Studio 9.1, Reaper 3.6, Renoise 2.5, energyXT 2.5.2, energyXT 1.4 and Podium 2.30

You should however always test the demo version in your choice of hosts/system before purchase
